Experience:
Mrs. Mackel’s background includes a variety of experiences and settings including academia, work with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly, in child abuse and neglect prevention and within the behavioral health care arena; concentration includes providing faith based counseling, hospice care, grief and loss and providing bereavement support as an Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and is a Board Certified Tele-Health Professional Level II.
She is also experienced in work with addressing Anxiety, depression and stress with a strength-based solution focused practice core directing a strong emphasis upon Wellness, Self-Care and Self-Empowerment, undergirded with a faith-based belief system.
She is a strong proponent of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a therapeutic intervention.
Personal statement:
My practice is an act of impassioned servanthood driven by faith in response to God’s goodness and unending love.
I believe that having a safe place in a grief journey is sacred and am committed to providing it. Grief being a normal natural emotional response to loss, I am a strong proponent for recognizing and acknowledging the need for support, promoting self-care, finding peace toward healing and living and growing into a different restored experience.
