M.Ed in Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University, and a MS in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University.

Licensed Professional Counselor licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board.
Experience:
Sharon has worked in health care for over twenty years as a dietitian and mental health counselor. She has extensive experience in integrative care and mental health with adolescents and adults. Her experience has focused on managing life's transitions, trauma, grief, anxiety/stress, emotion/mood regulation, relationship issues, disordered eating, and finding and maintaining a healthy way of life. Sharon's theoretical framework is trauma informed and strength based and includes EMDR, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy, and Mindfulness.
Personal statement:
I work from the approach of helping my clients find and access their inner strength and resilience. My goal is to provide a supportive and accepting environment where my clients can feel safe and heard.
