Personal statement:
I strongly believe in everyone’s ability to heal, grow, and change. My hope and prayer is that I can use my knowledge and experiences to help children, families, and young adults believe this about themselves as well. I’m looking forward to this opportunity in my career to combine my Christian faith, and counseling skills to help others achieve their goals, and become the person that God wants them to be. “Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though inwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes on not what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
