Experience:

In her two-decade-long career in Human Resources, Jane noticed that the individuals’ wellbeing almost always came down to their mental health hygiene (self-care, stress management, meaningful work, and quality of relationships). Amid a mental health crisis, she decided to return to her longtime yearning to become a mental health therapist. She utilizes trauma-informed approaches to mental health, addictions, and relationship issues. She continues to coach organizations on trauma-informed workplace and employee wellbeing.

In addition to psychoeducation and lifestyle interventions, Jane employs a combination of mindfulness, arts, somatic experiencing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Meaning-Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. She is training in EMDR, sexuality, and couples work.

Most recently, Jane was with Older Adult Services at the Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland supporting case management and programming for Holocaust survivors, immigrants from the former Soviet Union, and individuals with dementia and their caregivers.

Personal statement:

Jane’s guiding principles are empathy and gratitude for the privilege to guide clients to healthier and happier selves. Life is a perpetual transformation where one’s survival depends on acquiring/discovering new meanings, skills, connections, and strengths. We all began somewhere, and nobody’s experience is lesser than the other’s. Jane is originally from Ukraine and is passionate about assisting clients who experienced acculturation and immigration issues, ethnic conflict, discrimination, oppression, and associated trauma. As a Soviet Jew, Jane grew up at the crossroads of multiple ideologies, cultures, and religions, including Judeo-Christian and Islamic traditions. Synthesizing Eastern and Western cultural heritage, she is deeply committed to personal and spiritual growth and is excited to accompany her clients on their journey. She is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how” - Friedrich Nietzsche
