Is therapy expensive, can I afford it, and is it worth the investment to my family? Individual and Family therapy requires a commitment of your time and resources. However, the same can be said for anything in life that you value. Parents need to consider the value they place on their child greatly improving their behavior at home, at school and in the community. Couples need to consider the value they place on bringing their marriage or relationship that was once in crisis to a place where it is transformed into a healthy relationship; where intimacy, mutual trust and validating communication is present. Individuals need to consider the value of renewing their sense of passion and hope in life, and to be able to walk in freedom from addictions and other self-destructive habits and behaviors.
Each person must decide if the return on their investment of time and money is well worth going through this therapeutic journey in order to see the change they hope to achieve in their life, and the lives of their family members.
There are four primary methods of payment: Insurance Self Pay Employee Assistant Plans Post Adoption Special Service Subsidy
INSURANCE Insurance coverage can greatly reduce the cost of care. In some cases insurance will cover 100% of the cost, but most people will have a co-pay or co-insurance. Also most people will have a deductible that first needs to be met before insurance benefits are covered. It is important to know what your health insurance benefits are and what is covered in accordance with your stated benefits in your insurance plan. All co-pays and co-insurance fees are due at the time services is rendered.
If you have secondary insurance coverage, we must have that information related to your other insurance in order for your primary insurance to cover the cost of your care based on the insurances' coordination of benefits policy.
We are considered an In-Network Provider and accept the following insurances listed: Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Apex (University of Akron), Buckeye (Cenpatico), CareSource, Cigna, Cleveland Clinic Employee Health (Mutual Health), GEHA, Medical Mutual, Medicare Part B, Molina Healthcare, MultiPlan, SummaCare, United HealthCare (Optum Health), United HealthCare Community Plan.
SELF PAY Self-Pay typically is an option when a person desires to be seen by a Hope Behavioral therapist, but does not want to use their insurance. The Self-Pay option is beneficial if a person does not want a recorded diagnosis which is required by the insurance companies. The Self -Pay option is also beneficial if their insurance doesn't cover the cost of therapy because it is out of network or if the deductible is not met. For Self-Pay individuals who are out of network and desire to use their out of network benefits, upon request, we will give you a receipt and a copy of a “Super Bill” that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS If you are taking advantage of therapy through your EAP (Employee Assistance Program), there is no cost to you for this service. EAP’s usually only authorize 3 to 6 sessions. You can continue to attend therapy beyond the authorize sessions, but financial arrangements will need to be made for any sessions beyond what is authorize by the EAP.
